Thank you for your interest in applying for a transportation grant to help your students access field trips at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (Red Rock Canyon NCA). We (Friends of Red Rock Canyon) work closely with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Southern Nevada Conservancy (SNC) to provide opportunities for educational field trips.
Our role is to fund up to $258 per grant award for bus transportation. To qualify for a grant, applicants should be from a Title 1 school and have at least 35 students attending the field trip. Applications are considered on a rolling basis during the submission period each year, while funds are available. We encourage early applications!
We also consider requests from community organizations who serve Southern Nevada residents that may not otherwise have access to Red Rock Canyon NCA. Please use our contact us form to initiate a discussion.
You can download a PDF file of the Application & Instructions here: Friends of RRC Bus Grant Guidelines & Application – 2025-26 school year. Here is an informational resource about the field trips offered at Red Rock Canyon: 2025-26 Red Rock Canyon Field Trip Opportunities.
We are thrilled that we are receiving funding from the Nevada Division of Outdoor Recreation through their Nevada Outdoor Education and Recreation Grant Program for 2026. If you would like to support our efforts to provide community and school transportation grants beyond 2026 or support our other volunteer and programming efforts at Red Rock Canyon NCA, you can donate using the form below. Thank you!
