Tortoise Trot 5K Walk/Run (7:30am start time)

A 5k-ish trail run/walk starting and finishing at the Visitor Center, the scenic Tortoise Trot course gives you a 360 degree view of one of Southern Nevada’s most spectacular vistas. Part road, part trail, this event encompasses the Moenkopi loop and will be scenic and fun for the whole family. Participants 5 to 11 years old must be accompanied by an adult for safety.  No on-course jogging strollers or dogs are permitted. The run is not timed and is limited to 300 runners or walkers, so register early and save your spot for a memorable morning in the canyon!

Tortoise Trail Run (17K) (7am start time)

New this year, the Tortoise Trail Run is a 17K trail run starting and finishing at the Visitor Center. Designed for runners looking for a longer challenge, the scenic course features rugged desert trails, portions of the scenic drive, and expansive views of Red Rock Canyon.

This event is run only (no walking) and is not timed, but participants should plan to finish within the 3-hour time limit. For safety, no jogging strollers or dogs are permitted. Participation is limited to 50 runners, so register early to secure your spot for this exciting inaugural run in the canyon!
